What should you do if a police officer comes to your house and asks for someone who doesn't live there anymore?

We had been living in our home about six months. I am working in the garage with the vehicle door open. I catch movement out of the corner of my eye. I make my tools safe and walk out to see what is going on. It is an Marshall who displays his badge and asks if I am xxx. “No” and gave him my name.
As I stepped toward the shed I realize that there are two more Marshalls. We walked around back and I entered my PIN on the keypad lock and we entered. 50F outside and inside was a comfortable 67F. He takes a tour and remarks that it is a huge improvement over what was there before. “What did this guy do.” “Minor drug dealer, non-violent, skipped parole.”
“We had information that he was living in the outbuilding in the back. This house used to belong to his grandmother.” I had remodeled that “shed” in back so it was insulated, air conditioned and had my scroll saw studio, lathe station, a work bench, layout table and 8 x 10 isolated finishing room. I offered to take him back and show him the shed.
As we left the shed, there are three more Marshalls in the pasture behind us. Six people total to pick up a parole violator? Never heard from them again.
